Why, “Oak Biblical Counselling.”

Oak leaves

I was recently asked why I called the web site, “Oak Biblical Counselling”.  When I re-visited the Bible College I attended to in Swansea in South Wales, I was walking in the college gardens and saw an oak tree with its leaves all on the ground.  It reminded me of Isaiah 61:3, “….They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour”, (niv).

I know this verse is referring to God’s desire for the Jewish people.  But it is also true of us who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour. When we put our trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, God sees us as righteous in His sight.  (Philippians 3:7-9).

God wants us to display His splendour to others though our lives daily. See Philippians 1:20.
